Update

I haven't updated in a while so here it is. I'm back in school and may actually graduate finally in the spring. I'm working as a model every now and then at Minnesota State University.
Liam has started School and is doing really well with his numbers and letters and stuff. And has started reading.
Harry isn't really sure what to do with himself all day without Liam. But he has gymnastics on Thursdays and is loving it. We are still negotiating the potty training thing.
Molly is crawling all over the place and working on standing. She says Dada, Mama, Harry, and Amanda (weird I know) and she thinks she is the funniest thing ever. I can't believe she'll be a year old in a month.

Go to Youtube and search adkinsjm for a handful of videos of us.

My name

What Amanda Means

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated.
You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want.
You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way!

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

You are balanced, orderly, and organized. You like your ducks in a row.
You are powerful and competent, especially in the workplace.
People can see you as stubborn and headstrong. You definitely have a dominant personality.

Most of those things are true whith the exeption of knocking people down who get in my way. A polite "excuse me" works just fine.
I'm not sure I'm very confident or aggressive either.

Happy endings, or realistic?

I've been an avid reader since I was a kid, I've read a lot of what would probably be considered "Fairy tales" meaning the story no matter how normal it seems really has no basis in reality. I think it may have messed up my perception of the real world. I always expected to have a passionate romance, that we would overcome all odds to be together etc. etc.

The problem is: realistic endings are totally depressing. When no matter how much the couple loves each other they just aren't able to be together and they wind up heartbroken.
Although, happy endings can also be depressing because it sounds so wonderful and it's sad that the world isn't that way.

Maybe I should just watch some mindless television.

Random thoughts

How cute is a button?
Is it a compliment to be the "Spitting" image of someone?
Why do men say while watching sports "oh, that's it. It's all over" but then they keep watching for 30 minutes?
Why does a football game with only 60 minutes of actual play time take 4 hours to watch?
Why do such small babies take up so much space?!

And finally. How cute are these kids?!
